Our Team

Hello! We're the Camels Hump Coders, a group of middle school students from Huntington, Vermont. We all love to build, create and invent. We have a team that competes in FLL, First Lego League, which is an international program for kids to develop their skills in building, engineering and coding as well as other STEM topics. This program has a huge science component along with building a lego robot and coding various missions. One of our teammates had experience with the league and wanted to form his own team. He asked his group of friends if they were interested and they agreed. We officially formed the team in 2023 and since then we have made some amazing accomplishments.

What is FIRST® LEGO® League?

From the FLL home webpage:

Designed for ages 4 to 16 (age ranges vary by region), FIRST LEGO League features three age-appropriate divisions that build upon each other—from playful discovery to real-world problem-solving through coding, engineering, and research. Students around the world come together to take on themed challenges and connect at high-energy local and global events that celebrate creativity, collaboration, and innovation.

We are part of first lego league challenge which has competition. It is about...

  • Science and technology exploration
  • Building and programming LEGO® SPIKE PRIME robots
  • Coding robots to solve missions and challenges
  • Showing respect to our fellow teammates, judges, coaches, competitors, and more
  • Innovation projects addressing real-world issues in a creative way
