Season Theme: UNEARTHED

The 2025-2026 FIRST® LEGO® League season invites teams to explore how archaeology and paleontology uncover the stories of our planet. Teams investigate, design, and prototype innovative ways to share discoveries and preserve artifacts for generations to come.

Our Innovation Project

Our innovation project this year is about mapping lakes with SONAR to discover archaeological sites with citizen science.

Robot Design & Game

Our robot focuses on reliable attachments and consistent navigation to complete UNEARTHED missions. We prioritize simple, sturdy mechanisms and clear coding patterns for repeatable runs.

  • Modular attachments for quick swaps (However later in the season we changed our approach)
  • gyro-based navigation
  • Documented runs and checklists for consistency

Competition Highlights

🏆 Major Achievements

Season milestones

  • December 14, 2025: We had our first qualifying competition, and progressed to states.
  • January 17, 2026: We participated in the Vermont state competition hosted by Global Foundries.
  • April 29 - May 2, 2026: We participated at the FIRST World Championship in Houston, Texas.

Competition results

  • At qualifiers, we scored verry well
  • We achieved 1st place in the Vermont state competition against 32 teams and are progressing to the FLL world championship in Houston Texas.
  • At the FIRST World Championship, we placed in the top 2/3 of teams from around the globe.

Awards and recognitions

  • During qualifiers, we achieved the robot performance award for scoring the most points on the board with a total of 270 points out of a possible 545.
  • During qualifiers, we achieved the robot design award for our robot design with a modular attachment system, gears, and advanced coding.
  • At states, we achieved the robot performance award for scoring the most points on the board with a total of 380 points out of a possible 545.
  • At states, we were awarded the Champions award for best in competition against 32 teams and we proceeded to the FIRST world championship in Houston Texas.
  • While we did not win any award, we gave our best effort and learned a lot from the experience.
